The rainbow one is Caduceus's spirit guardians. Jester's is the opaque circle.

He could be a starfish disguised as a drow, for all we know.
i don’t see why that should make him want to put a cupcake under his robe
ehdubyah replied to your post: Caleb already has as many “HDYWTDT”s as Vax did in...
It may have to do with the fact that The first campaign was already going on for two or three years before they started streaming it. That number only tallies on-screen HDYWTDT instances, so it’s not necessarily going to reflect the total number achieved across their entire campaign.
Sure, but there were still twice as many streamed episodes of VM, even missing all the hours they played before streaming. Perhaps the truest comparison will only be possible once the M9 reach level 9, and then we track from there til the end of their campaign. If it’s indeed that lower-level play just leads to more HDYWTDTs, that comparison would make it apparent.

@ehdubyah replied to your post “for someone so adamantly against molly’s use of certain spells, you...”
Hell, wasn’t Calianna the one who proposed the idea of Caleb using Suggestion on her after seeing him use it (unsuccessfully) on Febron? Though that does kind of bring up the question as to whether a player character using mind-altering magic on an NPC is the same as using it on another player character.
In a way, yes. Caleb had said something about Jester using a spell on Calli after they had slept for the night (presumably because Liam didn't realize he had a spell he could use), and then Calli offered the idea of him using Suggestion (reminding both Caleb and probably Liam that the spell was available to him) to bypass the "staying the night and resting thing."
So yes. It even went beyond just getting consent by asking for it and it being given, as ultimately Calli was the one who asked for the spell to be cast on her.
Yeah. So... it's really not comparable to the issues with Molly using such spells without consent at all, and only helps the discussion about that because it demonstrates a time when such spells were used in a respectful way that didn't violate a person's agency, autonomy, and boundaries, where prior consent was actually obtained. The anon, in trying to invalidate the discussion with "whataboutism" (which wouldn't actually succeed even if it didn't provide that point of comparison, as whataboutism is a logical fallacy), actually ended up making the argument stronger by providing that point of comparison.
I mention in another post that there's definitely a discussion to be had about using such magic on non-party/ally players, those less in a general "NPC" way and more referring specifically to villains, whether or not there's a point where, through their actions, the forfeit their right to people respecting their agency, autonomy, and boundaries, and how the mechanics of gameplay and how it being a controlled fantasy world impacts those things. Ultimately, though, that's a different discussion than this one.
