Blessed autumn, where art thou? Day 16 out of 21 straight working on wildfire yer girl is tired, cranky and in need of fall storms to inundate the landscape so i can dedicate my time to cozying up in a blanket and writing poetry.

everyone im going to the renaissance fair in two weeks and im going as elain.

the ears are ordered.

the floral corset is on the way. the soft botanical wildflower crown has been woven. i have long ass honey-gold-brown-hair and big ass eyeballs and work with plants for a living. this is my destiny. my level of dweebdom knows no shame.

when u really really really just want to write the climactic romance sequence of your fic but for some godforsaken reason you chose to write a full length novel with plot and multiple pov warfare and you have to finish the penultimate battle chapter instead.

I just read chapter 37, and omg was it the best rollercoaster I have ever had the pleasure of riding. I practically bawled my eyes out at the last section because the love that Helion has for Lucien and Aurora is amazing.

And the passage with Oleana and Koschei was so beautiful. Your writing is absolutely gorgeous and it leaves me craving more and more. Your writing is one of the reasons why I love writing and I look up to you as an inspiration. Your style is so beautiful and I love it!

I was wondering how you created the runes. Did you use an existing language and put runes to that, or did you create those words. As an avid fantasy reader and an aspiring fantasy writer I would love to learn about your process.

All of the runes Elain studies in her pursuit of divination are based on the Elder Fathkurk runes, although I have expanded upon their linguistic translations. The use of these runes was commonplace from the 2nd to the 8th centuries AD in Nordic communities. They are still very much embraced as a tool of divination amongst practicing pagans (including myself ✨🌿🌙). I have plans to write my own runic language but I am saving that for my original novel and not for fanfic hehe.
