Assorted EiC 2017 Memories
*”Taxi!” *Someone About Ilinca: “She’s so tiny!” Ilinca: “I know I’m tiny!” Someone: “But you’re pretty!” *Anja taking photos with us, but realizing she was headed towards a dead-end of barrier, so she CLIMBS OVER TWO BARRIERS to get to the street. *Everyone freaking about Robin arriving and approaching, then Kristian at that precise moment exiting the venue and telling us, “I wanna make a selfie!” (Krisitian’s super adorable, too.) *Everyone seeing Epic Sax Guy then just yelling, “EPIC SAX GUY!” Then Epic Sax Guy reacts in a super cool Epic Sax Guy way. *We saw Lindita with at least three dresses in all. One during sound check, one during the actual show, (at least) one during the actual party. *Francesco making a video with us. *The Eurovision in Concert team making a video with us (and me specifically). *(while someone is trying to hide the Italy flag while chatting up Alma) Alma: “It’s okay, I understand, I love Francesco too!” *me geeking out to Lucie about her being a musical theatre girl (love her) *me geeking out to Nathan about him being a musical theatre guy (love him) *Slavko being Slavko.... super nice to us and generally slaying every time we saw him. *Sitting between JOWST and Aleksander Walmann for a selfie during the Afterparty... actually just sitting there and chatting for a few seconds. Anja was with them, too. *Giving Nathan a hug... then later lining up again to get another hug. He says, “You again?!” (but totally in a playful way), then hugs me anyway. (He’s a good hugger.) *And of course... Manel agreeing to wear my panda beanie. Then during the Afterparty I line up for an autograph, he recognizes me (another “You again!” moment) and signs the card “to my panda friend.”
