Oooooh! When I saw the mention of a head, I just jumped to a concussion thing. I hope you like it! ♥

Sam could hear the door shut, as soft as possible, but the small thud it made still hurt his head. He knows he’s actually concussed, but it feels like he’s overreacting. Jack was shuffling around the kitchen with just his socks on, as if to try and minimize the sound. As Sam was turning over, reaching to turn the light on, he could hear the bedroom door open. “I brought you some of your favorite foods. I don’t know if you’re hungry.” Jack was carrying a tray that must have been dropped off by Caber with baked goods on it at some point. On the tray was some cookies, All-Dressed chips, and a bowl of chicken and dumplings. There was a bottle of Body Armor to go with it all and Sam couldn’t help but smile. “Still trying to unload some of those drinks on me?” The chirp was weak, but was based in truth. “Nah, the doctor said you needed electrolytes remember?” Jack wasn’t raising to the bait, which was a new leaf for him. Sam smiled and his eyes teared up a little. He remembered back to when Jack sprained his ankle and how he made fun of the scooter. He didn’t deserve such a sweet boyfriend, yet here he was. Jack reached out, wiped the tears with the sleeve of his hoodie, and turned off the lamp. “Eat up and then get some rest. I’m going to be in the living room watching some tape. I want you to get better for me and not worry about a thing.”Sam wasn’t sure where his head was at, but he took a bite of a cookie and as Jack left the room, he whispered his thanks as well as an “I love you”. One day he’d say that to his face, but today wasn’t the right time.
