Nestled among the abandoned Sharlayan structures of the Dravanian Hinterland is a little workshop, refitted and repurposed with scavenged bits of machinery from all over the star. Few know where to find it other than some trusted friends and a few residents of the neighboring Idyllshire who keep a watchful eye when the Warrior of Light is absent.

Eidin's workshop is more or less finished! A dusty little garage space where she can tinker to her heart's content.

A little taste of home

Ilsabard is a big continent, but if there is a resident of it, current or former, who does not enjoy a cup of tea, Eidin has yet to meet them. The smoky blend of her homeland, spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon and fireweed, isn't so different from the one that Lucia remembers from Garlemald. Some things are still worth sharing.

Finishing touches

Ever since I got this Picto brush, my brain has been lit up with how Eidin would take to airbrushing and how well it synergizes with her knack for tech and mechanical things. It got me excited enough to put together a glam for it and finally build a workshop where Eidin can play with her mechanical toys

Roevember Day 1: Setting Out

The adventuring stuff wasn't all smoke and mirrors. The feeling of leaping onto the back of a chocobo to set out for a new place, a new adventure, that feeling never got old. I felt my heart pounding every single time.

did something happen to cause eidin's aether to go 📈 mode and create explosive carbies? what does she do to mitigate the instability?

So, in conversations with @ravandfriendsxiv, it's become clear that I may have internalized some details they shared with me about their own WoL's experiences with light corruption and aetheric instability and mixed them in with my own ideas. Even though it wasn't intentional, it wouldn't be fair for me to present that piece of worldbuilding as my own creation after someone confided something that important with me. I apologize for my missteps and appreciate Ren's trust and patience while I make some changes.

Eidin's time in the Burn is still something that had a strong impact on her, but I'm going to spend some time rethinking how that manifests.

Of Blood and Flame

It is never enough for the Warrior of Light to be only one thing. When Eidin joined the Ala Mhigan resistance, it was with both rapier and pistol. Her left became her dominant gun hand as she danced in and out of melee range, her sniper's eye pinpointing enemy weaknesses, as her flame-like crystal focus became a beacon for others to follow.

Stormblood was a time of transition for Eidin, of bringing who she was before entering Eorzea together with who she became as the Warrior of Light, of learning to balance the rebel with the hero. Why become a legend, after all, if not to make Garleans tremble at her coming?

Roevember Day 21: Song

Of course there was music in my life growing up. There has to be music. Father treasured that violin, and I was desperate to join him on it, to feel the songs he played with my own hands. Sometimes we were fortunate in our travels to meet other musicians, learn songs that were new to our ears. A refresh of a repertoire that risked growing stale without the fellowship of others. The habit of seeking new songs to share with him still follows me wherever I go. I hear the notes of something unfamiliar in a tavern and think "ah, another one to bring home to papa." I fear the list has grown so long now that when we finally reunite, our fingers will not still for days.
