~Ryu ga Gotoku~ Merch of May
First on the list are these Acrylic Art Blocks; which I believe were only available in specific promotional vending machines around Japan. I had originally planned on only ordering the two Pirates in Hawaii variations.
However, after receiving those two...
...it turns out I really like the 3D effect. Its really simple but having the location printed behind and the character printed on the top layer really gives a cool depth.
So... I bought all of them (Except for Ichiban, sorry bud not that into you yet)
Captain Majima "In Madlantis"
Mad Dog Majima "In Honolulu"
Taiga Saejima "In the underground fighting ring"
Goro Majima "Outside of the batting center"
Kazuma Kiryu "On the streets of Kamurocho"
Daigo Dojima "Outside of the Millenium Tower"
I also now have the complete Irezumi set of Enamel Pin Badges; From my understanding these were only purchasable from promotional vending machines much like the first items on my list.
I picked up the last couple of official lapel clan pins I needed, so I have now completed the official 8 pin set.
I also found this Kazama family pin of unknown origin?
The Kazama Family didn't have any pins officially made that I am aware of, but it is really nice quality and fits in nicely with the others in my collection.
♪~~ Wow, Breakin' the law Breakin' the world kowase (breaking the world) Kirisake Tenderness ~~♪
Couldn't help but pick up this pair of large badges of Judgement Kazzy feeling himself at karaoke!
I was only interested in the close-up on the left but they came as a pair pretty cheap, so I can't complain.
I have been trying to gradually collect the chibi badges that came with the original style of SEGA plush.
I am obsessed with how cute the designs of these gritty characters are!
(I even created and uploaded a few art pieces of some of my favourite characters that never got the chibi treatment officially)
Unfortunately, most of the plush in my opinion didn't quite capture the vibe; They always seemed to end up looking off
That being said... I can't lie... Akiyama was the exception...
I am already a sucker for "Mr Long Legs" but his plush is pretty accurate to his design and I have no complaints.
As I play through the games I feel connections to all sorts of characters and when the worst happens I feel that it is important to commemorate them in little ways throughout my displays.
Rikiya Shimabukuro is a character that I honestly didn't think I would care too much about; I found him jarring at the beginning and his design looked like something out of "The Sims" but by the end of the story, I knew he had to have a little place to be remembered.
I bought one of the commemorative frame keychains that had been available during the "Fallen Men Exhibition" and also found a really cool coaster that showed of his completed Snake Irezumi.
A couple more pieces to add to my memorial section, once again from the 2023 "Fallen Men Exhibition".
I picked up another Frame Keychain, this time of Akira Nishikiyama and a Memorial Tablet style acrylic stand of Yoshitaka Mine.
A few more acrylic stands arrived, this time from Yakuza 0.
Homare Nishitani and Cabaret Manager Majima, as well as a large sized acrylic of shirtless Goro.
Recently released was a collection of images of Goro Majima throughout the years. I didn't buy all of them, just a handful of my favourites. I like that each is stamped with both the year taken and age of Majima.
Lastly, I came across a really cool listing for an autographed shikishi board.
The coloured paper was signed at the Yakuza Red Carpet Event for Infinite Wealth in 2024 and the seller had various other memorabilia from the event to confirm.
The front is signed by Takaya Kuroda (Kazuma Kiryu)
The back is signed by Ryo Narita (Eiji Mitamura)

kiryu is just like me (can't lie to save ourselves). but also it's so funny how his honesty is well-known in the criminal world
