Yesterday I walked another wee range of hills that had been on my list for the past decade or so - Broughton Heights in the Borders. And just like last week in the Sidlaws, the mist and murk descended at just the right moment to deny us the views from the top. Grrrr! It cleared up a treat later but I didn't really mind not getting the views, cos it did make for atmospheric piccies :)
This walk came courtesy of Biggar Ramblers who, being local to the area, were full of interesting info & insights into a part of the country I don't know very well at all. A grand autumnal day out, made all the more memorable by bumping into Eildon Ramblers who were doing the hill via a different route. Lovely to see familiar faces emerging from the mist :)
Details of Biggar's walks can be found on their website. Most of their walks are in the Borders and nearby but I'm tempted to join them in Glasgow on 26th January, when they're doing an urban walk taking in all those massive murals.
