Sarcastically calling someone “Einstein” just became relatively funnier to me.

If you break down the name “Einstein”, you get Ein Stein, which literally means “a stone”. You’re sarcastically comparing them to a genius, while simultaneously calling them a rock.

My little brother and I are watching TV and there was this man who said "My dog is as smart as Einstein"

Suddenly my brother lost it and burst out laughing because the man said that it's as smart as "a stone"

I explained that the man didn't say "ein Stein" (which means "a stone" in german) he said "Einstein" and he was like "Oh" and continued laughing
