Happy anniversary, @mehuric
Hey look, it's me & @circuitghost!
Clearly I need to make a photoshop image that includes all the UAF members I've met so far:
@taimproblem
@barid-bel-medar
@neuxue
Who will I meet next?!
Oh yeah, summer's here and I can't breathe; maybe you can tell from that flush/malar rash I'm rocking today. How fortunate that today was already an appointment with my pulmonologist, right? I'd already gotten #hospitalglam for the day before I stepped out into humid, 90° air, so at least I'm #disabledandcute in my flowered eShakti dress! Pulmonologist sternly ordered me to get an IVIG treatment soon, lest I kick off a really bad summer for my lungs. I'm supposed to "lower my threshold" for taking my albuterol for now, stay in the a/c as much as possible, and get an infusion asap. She did not, thankfully, go for the devil's tic tacs yet, for which I am grateful. I tell ya... I did not miss this feeling of being unable to breathe when the air is so hot and full of water as it is now.
Working on the podcast overnight, when it's quietest, but then I forgot that my full backup happens on the last day of the month, so... I guess I'm finishing this month's episode after I wake up! Super excited for you all to get to hear it - I got to interview Jen Brea, the spoonie who made the documentary Unrest, about her developing & learning to live with ME/CFS. Chances are I'll forget to do a selfie later, so gif!me for spooniestrong selfie Saturday before sleep (at 7 am...) it is!
It's a lovely spring day; Aife is SO HAPPY she can lay in her chair outside, Diana even came out to chill in the living room while I clean, and Daphne is having a grand time chasing (and eating) little flying things that result from having the back door open. I'm being Super Over Productive today, and I'll probably regret it tomorrow, so this will be my spooniestrong Saturday selfie, as well. I've vacuumed, swept/mopped the kitchen & bathrooms, washed/dried/folded all the laundry, and I'm going to make/can the first batch of jam of the year. Somewhere in there I'm going to change the bedsheets and shower. I clearly haven't learned from past experiences about pacing myself and not overdoing it.
Working on recording episode 01 of my podcast @sicktipsandtricks. The idea was to do this while the husbandperson was sleeping and the cats were (mostly) dormant and there wasn’t a lot of outside noise.
Naturally, the fire station siren keeps going off and the cats won’t leave my mic alone.
Ah well, I need to get this done before I run out of December. I’ve put it off, trying to kick round 4 of this ridiculous cold virus I keep catching, but y’all will just have to cope with my congested voice and maybe the vaporize gurgling in the background.
It is Not Thanksgiving! I've not slept properly in several days, because Daphne is Very Alarmed that there have been two other people sleeping in the house and chirp-and-trill cat thus becomes Very Vocal to remind me of their presence. But we've collectively made a ton of food and things are quiet now. Soon I'll get to rest and sleep as much as my body needs. With amazing food available, to boot.
I'm comfortable now because I've had my pain meds, And I'm nestled up cozy and warm in my bed. The cats are all tended, so I turn out the light I wish you great spoons and a peaceful, pain-free night.
