Desert air brushed back his hair, cool with the coming evening.  The cliff’s edge dug into the back of his knees as he peered out over the sands below.  His freshly constructed glasses remained in his lap as his eyes flared to amber, watching, watching, watching.

There he could—oh, oh, oh no he didn’t want to—no don’t make him look—!

A hand clamped down on his shoulder and Eira snapped a look up, nearly reeling back from what he saw.  His eyes still blazed, seeing too much, too much, too much—a hand came down over his eyes, black replacing horror.  The pain slowly receded and a gentle, callused hand soothed the side of his temple, magic alighting at the fingertips.

Letting his eyes fall closed, Eira breathed in deeply, leaning gratefully into the touch.  A low rich chuckle met his ears and Eira sighed, managing annoyance at the mocking.  But...no, not mocking.  He leaned into the shoulder provided, and allowed himself to be supported.  He didn’t need to do this alone, deal with this alone.  He wasn’t by himself, standing as a single pillar awaiting collapse.  Not here.  Not now.

Hopefully not ever.

Rey(a): Fox, Mud Jumper Toad, Bat, Nether Ray. Eira: Wyvern, Scorpid, Boar, Crane.

Rey(a):

Fox - Does your character tackle a problem head on or do they look for alternative ways to solve something?

Generally, head on!  Particularly Reya, just go in and FIGHT THE THING.  Or touch the thing.  Rey would be more inclined to actually THINK about what he could do.

Mud Jumper Toad - Your character gets to make three wishes. What would they be?

3. Honestly, just for himself (and Hael) to be happy for more than just a few days holy shit @ the world stop

Bat - What if your character lost their sight? How would they react and cope?

Oh man that’d be something.  Under the assumption that it can’t be just FIXED by eye implants or something suitably undead like, Rey and Reya would actually be…rather torn up about it.  So…not well.  They’d be so much more physical afterwards, touching everything so they could see through their hands instead.

Nether Ray - Does your character have a good sense of direction? Or do they get lost easily?

Reya……..is terrible with directions.  Luckily for him, Rey is good at that, all the senses of a hunter (of people cough).  But if Reya were left to his own devices he’d get so lost, send help

Eira:

Wyvern - Is there someone in your character’s life they feel indebted to? How does your character prefer to “return a favor”?

Yes.  But hah, he can’t really return the favor anymore can he?  And he’d return the favor in kind, if someone saved his life, he’d save theirs, etc.  Equal exchange.

Scorpid - Does your character prefer to fight alone or fight along side someone?

Usually alone!  He finds it more efficient and generally he is sent on solo assignments these days, and even BEFORE it’d be easier to do his Job by himself.

However.  He does like fighting along side someone else.  He just doesn’t trust the situation anymore.

Boar - What smell brings about pleasant memories for your character? Unpleasant memories?

Well, for pleasant memories: the sea during a storm, breezes off the sand at night, wood smoke

..for unpleasant memories: burning flesh, acrid sulfur, and more recently the scent of snake venom and rotting seaweed

Crane - What is your character’s preferred method of communication?

Forthright talking actually.  Simple, gets the job done.  Efficient when people aren’t WAFFLING.

9. Do animals like them? Do they get on well with animals?

Generally, yes!  At least all of the animals Rey(a) has somehow managed to own have liked them lol, and they both adore most animals.  Cats, dogs, bats, horses.  Though..most of Rey(a)’s animals tend to be REALLY SNARKY TOWARDS THEM.  Rude fuckers.

14. Do they have any specific memories of food/a restaurant/meal?

Once upon a time someone made some spice bread and porridge with honey.  It was utterly awful the first try but it got better each and every time and Rey would eat each attempt.  That’s a specific memory for ye

23. Do they have a good memory? Short term or long term? Are they good with names? Or faces?

Pretty good memory!  They both hold grudges like no one’s business and WILL remember something bad happening.  And for the most part they’re better with names!  

35. What’s their guilty pleasure? What is their totally unguilty pleasure?

Hmmmm, I’m still not ENTIRELY certain of the meaning of guily pleasure lol  but probably…putting flowers in his hair.  Listen.  It looks pretty.  And an unguilty pleasure?  Probably absolutely hunting down people and eating hearts lol

50. If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?

A book.  The red hide Hael gave him.  His rune blade and armor.  Probably a stash of organs too.

And the bonus for Eira: 45. How do other people see them? Is it similar to how they see themselves?

People usually see Eira as standoffish and rude.  Reticent and very serious.  An asshole, really.  Snarky sometimes.  Very dedicated to his work.

Eira sees himself as a solider.  He does what is asked of him, no questions asked anymore.  Questions get him hurt.
