Eirlys: *inhales*
Anders: Maker!! Yes, Leliana would love it here, yes, if Leliana was here she would have had something funny or poetic to say about this, yes, you wonder what Leliana is doing right now, yes you wish Leliana was here, yes, you miss Leliana so much, yes, you love Leliana!! WE GET IT!
Eirlys: ... are you mad at me?
i have mentioned it before i think, but i want you guys to know that somewhere i my brain there exists an AU of Eirlys' worldstate where Eirlys is less, shall we say, delusional about her belief in Leliana and her capabilities of making the world a better place for elves and mages, more critical of the Chantry and Leliana's actions in service to Justinia and she and Leliana break-up either around the time Justinia becomes the Divine in 9:34 or around the Sebastian's Act 3 quest when there's talks about an Exalted March against Kirkwall and is also more involved with the mage rebellion. As a result of that she's present at the conclave and ends up the sole survivor, herald of andraste and later, the inquisitor. eirlys torment nexus. the anchor, the fake calling, accused of murdering Justinia (she's pretty sure she wouldn't go that far), becomes the leader of a chantry institution, cullen is there and also leliana. forced proximity due to working with eachother turns into an incredibly messy situationship where neither of them is happy in any way because they're both as always incapable of being normal about eachother.
hawke: THE leliana? who accompanied the hero of ferelden to slay the archdemon?
anders: *going through a category 5 vietnam flashback of eirlys sighing wistfully everytime she passes the statue of andraste in the courtyard or the chantry in amaranthine, the journal filled almost entirely with sketches of THE leliana who accompanied the hero of ferelden to slay the archdemon, picking andrastes grace and going "i miss her so much" or "one time leliana-" or "you know, leliana-"*
re the last reblog and like. that is a part of why eirliana is beautiful to me. leliana doesn't know how to have healthy normal boundaries in a romantic relationship, eirlys has never had a healthy interpersonal relationship of any kind and has zero romantic experience. my weird people.
i can't explain why but for some reason adding 00s german pop songs to my eirliana playlist feels like a new low.
