Hi! Just dropping by to say thanks for following me. I love the things you post! Um, so let's see, a question. If you could invent a holiday, what would it be called, what would it be about, and how would people celebrate it?
No problemo! My dash has been dead lately, so it's fun to look for new people to follow (that's a lie, it hasn't been dead, but hey at least it sounds good) Always great to follow fellow Nerdfighters :D (not to mention Minnesotans)
I would invent a holiday called "shut up about your own problems and focus on those less fortunate than you" which would be celebrated twice a year, once after Thanksgiving and Black Friday and once after Christmas. This would be for all people who have more than enough money to give some of that, even 10 dollars, to the homeless and less fortunate. Or to donate some money to people in need in Africa or elsewhere.Sure some people do this already as part of some personal traditions, but this would be a more global event working on building more of a world community.
We're all stuck on this rock together, we might as well care a little bit more for each other.
