Scenario: Sage and Scarlet trek all the way to Menagerie just to show Sun a video of Neptune crying Sun's name on the edge of the Mistralian Docks. Sun runs home faster than Sage and Scarlet can even say "Neptune". Blake rides back to Mistral with Sage and Scarlet, and Blake, together with the reunited Team SSSN, eventually meet up with Ruby and JNR and take down the big bads. (And Weiss and Yang do... something...?)

Have you seen the Michael Jones singing compilation? I'm just imagining Sun singing while he's playing video games, and Sage coming up behind him, ripping the controller out of his hands, and breaking it in half. That, and I imagine Sun singing all of Weiss's songs during his and Blake's boat trip, and Blake is curious as to why he knows all of Weiss's songs.

5) Hmmmmmmmm well, I think I only ever had a big birthday party once or twice. But those weren’t necessarily my best birthdays. One birthday I remember fondly was pretty simple. I had angel cake with my family, and I got one or two gifts for myself. I just remember it being a very pleasant day. No arguments or anything, just contentment.

32) At the back of my grandparent’s backyard, there was a fence, and behind that fence was a creek. When I was a kid, my friends and I would often play in the creek. We pretended a monster lived in the creek at some point?? And we attempted to make a clubhouse in one of the trees. We had code names and walkie talkies.

It does make me wonder what he went through while both Winter and Weiss were away and he was the only one left to deal with their parents. That might've been what he meant about "growing up", and it definitely could have changed his opinion and attitude toward them from when Weiss last saw him. It does seem from the intro with his position with Klein and friendly expression toward Weiss that he will be more an ally than "enemy". I'm just as surprised to see the fandom already demonizing him.

Fandom does like to demonize folks for no reason.

I see Whitley the same way I see my younger sister: Little shit sibling who is obviously Daddy's favorite, and the most blind to his father's assholery. He's not a bad kid. He's just a spoiled Daddy's boy who probably hasn't had to experience what Winter and Weiss have yet, but I'm sure Weiss is going to clue him in sooner than later and his faith in their father will be hugely tested. I watched my sister go through the same thing, and she turned out alright. I'm sure Whitley will, too.

It’s clear that Whitley at least knows their dad is a colossal asshole since he warns Weiss of his foul mood and is aware of their mother’s drinking and didn’t seem at all surprise when Weiss reached that conclusion when he brought it up. I don’t think Whitley is blind to it at all. Not quite sure if he experiences it himself, though, but I suppose we’ll see soon enough.
