4. "I'm proud of you baby boy."

EJ was always high energy when he finished a water polo game. He was even more high energy today in particular - that tended to be the case when he actually knew people in the crowd. "EJ you're anxious," Daryll said with a knowing smirk when he looked to the stands. He waded over to EJ in the pool and ruffled his hair. 

"Hey - hey not the hair! The chlorine doesn't need any help from you!" EJ pushes his co captain away, dunking him under the water. When Daryll left his line of vision EJ could see Ricky clearly in the crowd. He beamed at him, smiling from ear to ear. The game ended a few minutes ago so EJ watched as Ricky made his way down from the stands. "Ricky!" EJ called out, waving his hand to get  his boyfriend's attention. 

"EJ!" Ricky called back, his own smile on his face. "You did amazing out there!" He stumbled through the crowd to the edge of the pool, kneeling down to get on EJ's line of sight. EJ flushed pink and shook his head.

"We were off balance today," EJ said, playing through the game in his head. "Jared was out sick and Declan wasn't focused and I wasn't really in the game as much as I always am and -" Ricky cut him off by leaning forward to kiss him. EJ's eyes fluttered when their lips touched, his rambling cut short… not that he minded.

"If I knew that would get you to shut up I would've been doing that more often," Ricky teased, resting their foreheads against each other. EJ rolled his eyes and splashed Ricky with some pool water making him yelp in surprise. "Hey!" Ricky protested at the splashes. EJ laughed at his affronted look, then snuck in his own peck of the lips.

"Reap what you sow Bowen," EJ teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief when his hand wrapped around Ricky's waist. Ricky jerked away right before EJ could pull him into the pool with him. "Oh come on that's not fun!" EJ complained, pushing himself up with his arms to sit next to Ricky on the poolside. Ricky just chuckled and shook his head, wrapping an arm around EJ to hold him close.

"I'm proud of you baby boy," Ricky promised, nibbling lightly at EJ's earlobe. EJ shuddered at the nickname, flush rushing down his neck. "I'm serious okay?" Ricky asked, using his fingers to turn EJ's chin to face him. EJ smiled softly and nodded at Ricky, kissing his nose.

"Okay sweetheart," EJ teased back, satisfied by how deep Ricky's blush ran in his cheeks. "Let me get dried off and changed then we can go for ice cream," he promised. EJ stood up, tugging Ricky with him.

"Ice cream sounds amazing," Ricky admitted, avoiding EJ's soaking wet hair. "Go change. I'll meet you out front, I promise!" He called out, watching EJ disappear into the locker room.

This man is not a straight. He is, a repressed bisexual at the very least.

Grew up in a mid-upper class home, or at least he keeps up the appearance he does. His immediate family consists of only his father, as his mom is in the army/military which is why he connected to Gina like how he did during s1 finales.

He plays water polo and lacrosse and one time he heard about someone on his teams bullying Red and Carlos so he pulled rank and since then no one from Water polo or lacrosse has messed with a theater kid again.

EJ is actually v smart, (this one is canon I think) 5.0 GPA, almost all AP classes his senior year. He helps Ricky with homework sometimes on the DL cause EJ's a tutor in the library.

EJ is very proud of Nini and wants her to go to the academy and follow her dreams.

EJ has a boy crush on Ricky and is all flustered and adorable when Ricky isnt looking at him but is in the same room.

Everyone knows this aside from Ricky and EJ.

EJ knows Nick Danforth-Evans from various lacrosse meets/camps (fight me I love both shows and they take place in the same universe in my head).

He gets v protective of his fam and courtney if anyone comes for them.

EJ deserves a solo I will die on this hill.

Also he wears his uncle's dog tags under his shirt only Nini and Courtney (maybe Gina) know this.

EJ refuses to show emotions so he can be the rock for ppl to talk to if they need someone.
