Will the mark on Hermann's head ever be explained?
Her head kinda got really messed up with the whole "El Nucleo" explosion/ void thing. I'm pretty sure that's what happened to Gaster in the other world. The way her head cracked just happened to be different.
Is it possible for CORE in this universe to melt and explode?
There was an explosion when Hermann fell in el Nucleo. [The nucleus] but it's not radioactive at least. It's geothermal. While it could explode again and if it fell in the lava it would melt, something like that is not going to happen here. I don't have an explanation for why not. It's just not. Because that wouldn't be fun for me. I think growthspurt? Has a Core disaster and that's cool for them. But not here.
What was the reason Alphys was outside the CORE when it exploded?
I'm going to say... it was community service like with the other Undyne. The reason for it is probably different.
She broke into the palace to do a sneak attack on the Queen to prove that she was tough and cool because her dad was a royal guard and she looked looked up to him a lot. The Queen subdued her easily. [I wanna make this a scene in the comic so I'm not going into too much detail] and normally attacking the Queen is a really bad offense but obviously Alphys is just a foolish kid. She didn't mean or cause any real harm. There still had to be some kind of punishment tho to teach her a lesson. And so the Queen gave her community service, and decided to train her properly.
Did Alphys get her eyepatch the same way Undyne did in AFAC? Are Flowers, Braids, and Twinkie (i think that was their names) going to be swapped with anyone?
Yes! Alphys lost her eye because of the explosion at El Nucleo.
As far as Flowers Briads Twinky and Harlow Garamond ? I'm really not sure how I want to swap them yet. I have to take a deeper look into their individual characters. And how I want future scenes to unfold.
As for The Core...
I'm thinking I want to call it "El Núcleo" since it is created by Dr Hermann and upon thinking of names I decided to start by translating several ideas into Spanish (for example I thought matrix might be cool but it turned into "matriz" which sounds like mattress...) so I tried "Core" and it became "Núcleo" interesting! I wasn't sure if I wanted something that was literally "core but Spanish" but I figure it would actually be Translated to "The Nucleus" according to Dr Hermann.
Side note: I wanted to do maybe "energy puzzle" but it translates to "rompecabezas de energía." Besides being rather long, "rompe" translates to "brakes" and "Cabezas" means heads. "Brakes heads".... yeah... I mean, I get it... it's similar to "head scratcher" or "brain teaser" but it's not really something I want to name a place/ machine that produces clean magical energy.
