El-Aaiún is the biggest city is the so-called colony of Morocco. Like many of the african countries in the north, this city is a desert city. However, not all the cities have the same urban morphology. For instance Dubai is very spread out. While here in El-Aaiún much of the development has taken place inside of the city borders.
