this is good news because what if I just reposted these fics once a year or so and never wrote anything new again

screwing up your autocorrect so that none of the words you type are remotely close to what ends up on the screen

deleting your alarms and replacing them with random other ones

switching around all the contact names in your phone

un-adjusting the driver’s seat and mirrors

slipping wrong information into your textbooks

changing your PIN

ruining your Netflix recommendations

commandeering your Twitter account and saying things that almost sound like something you’d say but that piss people off or make you look like a fool

mass-Snapchatting your failed selfies

changing your keyboard layout

deleting all your saved passwords

"I hated you for what you took from me. I still do, sometimes, but I can stop myself." 

She looks at him with the faintest of smiles, like she knows something he doesn't--couldn't, and shakes her head.

"I never hated you, Nathaniel." she says quietly, "But you didn't kill my family, did you?"

"You destroyed mine." he spits, though his voice holds more pain than malice, "But I.. never considered why."

"What would we be without this, ser Howe?"

"Likely married, lady Cousland." he quips, and she laughs.

"Ah, best this happened then." she smiles, "We bicker enough now as is, no?"

Later, he drinks to forget that. Forget the life he--they could have had. If not for the Blight, if not for his father. 

"You going to sulk all night or tell me what's bothering you?" Anders asks, leaning against the bar next to him, "You can tell Pounce instead, he's a good listener."

Nathaniel just makes a noise between a groan and a sigh and shoves weakly at the mage's shoulder.

"Drink in silence or leave me be." he whines.

And Anders, for his part, just laughs. "Suit yourself. But you'll never get over her if you don't talk it out, Howie."

He knows. And he doesn't want to.

like that one time in the roadtrip one where you weren't directly talking abotu the driving but you could feel the twists and turns of the road and it was Fucking Incredible

I LOVE THE GRITTINESS AND THE REALITY AND THE... ANCHOREDNESS? OF YOUR WRITING. like you are so. fucking good. at placing real constraints on your characters (poverty, mental illness, etc.) and thne having them 1. live with them 2. be affected by them 3. be radical regardless, but in believable ways that don't diminish the struggle. it makes your writing seem like Real People, you know? and it's incredible. ALSO SOMETIMES YOU GET IN THIS ZONE AND THE WRITING REFLECTS THE ACTION LIKE. GOALS!!!
