A story in two parts

Turns out he’s just a new neighbour who wanted to say hi. Cascade is not too aware of how intimidating he looks while perched. Turns out he also forgot to bring the gift basket Halcyon made. Safe to say Cascade does not imagine he’ll be invited back anytime soon.

Elbent is practicing her turtle defence down there. Verglaust is a mix of relieved and disappointed after realizing the giant vulture who swooped down is just incompetent. Well, he’d rather that than a full blown threat at least.

Was thinking a bit on how Starhawk might participate in a fight.

I’d imagine he wouldn’t be the most confident fighter, and takes on a more supportive role, especially in bird mode.

As a bird, he can swoop at enemies to distract them with pecks, wing beats, and swiping at their faces with his talons. Maybe, as he grows more confident in his ability to change forms, he can dive at the legs of opponents in bird mode, but changes to his human form as he collides into them. Hawk can also use his wings to shield his friends from flying debris.

He could also grab small/lightweight objects that fall overboard.

Starhawk has also been known to accidentally break hands and nip off bits of fingers when trying to disarm enemies after catching them trying to shoot at crew members. Sometimes doing this gets him a bit tossed and flung about as well. Once, when someone was trying to shoot his captain, he grappled with them in an attempt to disarm them. When they swung their arm to throw the bird off, their hand came along with Starhawk.
