Me too! Once the heat breaks I have to start working on the alpaca pen so I can get them here before August. Maybe I can bring some to the farmers market, lol.

Is it weird that I want to say congratulations? You work really hard to raise that meat and I wish I lived just a skoosh closer so I could swing by and buy some.

We deliver and are always looking for a reason to get out of town. We have a customer up in Hamburg. If that’s not too far we could swing by and drop something off the next time we are up that way. 

And thank you! It’s always a great feeling to enjoy a meal from an animal you have raised and processed yourself. I can’t wait to smoke the one tomorrow.

You can unfriend and unfollow everyone but relatives/people you know and like in real life. That’s what I do.

i know, and i might have to, but i just wasn’t expecting it. they don’t usually post gore like that. they were a pretty good friend (we just don’t really talk any more) and i like to follow them.

aside, the people who are being gross about politics are pretty much all family so :/

What ever happened to Minerva? Did she recover ok?

Matilda? She is doing much better. She is still separated out, but has resumed feeding her piglets. Normally I would have let her and her piglets out by now, but I’m giving her an extra week to get her strength back up.

Can we talk about your pig naming choices because seriously I love them.

Most of them are named after characters from Game of Thrones/ASOIAF. Matilda and Rosie are my only ones left that predate my decisions to name my breeders after characters from the books. Currently, I have Oberyn, Davos, Sansa, Cersei, Myrcella, Arya, Brienne, Ygritte, and Shireen. I have an orange and black gilt who is Shireen’s sister that I have yet to name. I’m thinking of naming her either Asha or Val.
