@el-coyote
“Gracias, señorita, “ he whispered as he took the water; his voice did sound a bit hoarse from his stint into the sun, most likely face down in the sand for God-knows how long. Coyote sipped the water slowly before setting it to the side and swirling the spoon around in the soup a bit more. He wasn’t exceedingly hungry but putting some food in his belly would be good for you. “I appreciate you not takin’ me to the hospital. Very rarely when I go that is not my final destination.” He didn’t elaborate on that too much. It’s probably not a very good idea to tell strangers, even giant space sheep, that you’re a wanted man with a bounty on your head.
He rubbed at his eyes and through the scruff on his face. Finer bits of sand were still lodged into his facial hair. “My van broke down a good few miles away ‘n’ I was out of water for the radiator. Once I am rested ‘n’ rehydrated I am sure I can get it started again if I brink a bucket with me.” A few bites of the soup where taken and then he sat that down as well and turned his full attention on the sheep nursing him back to health.
“I am sorry if this is rude of me to ask are you the only one livin’ here or are their other of your kind? This casa – it is small. Seems almost too small for one of your size.”
She couldn’t help but giggle as he spoke in Spanish again. She wasn’t trying to be rude and she hoped he wouldn’t think that of her. She just simply thought it sounded nice. Nellsa cocked her head as he spoke about her not taking him to the hospital. She didn’t fully understand but for now, chose not to ask.
“Well...ya’d best wait til night when it’s much cooler. No use in you going back out in the sun. Iffin’ ya need any help, Ah can simply drag the van back here or into town.” Just needed to find her harness so she could attach it to the van and pull it. Actually, she hoped he agreed as it would be great exercise for her!
“Oh, well...Yes, it’s just me. Small houses are unique and lovely~ Uhm, well...Ah’m...I don’t know. Raised myself here and never seen anyone who looks like me. Not here, not on the internet, not anywhere. So I’ve just assumed Earth isn’t my real home. Other than those facts, nothing else to really back up that thought.”
