That snickering you hear off in the distance? That is my entire family, blood and chosen, being very amused at me attempting mathy things. Math is not my friend.
The StuntHusband and I realized we could easily cosplay Sir Malcolm and Vanessa Ives from Penny Dreadful -- but no one would really know we were in costume.
I think maybe Clovis Devilbunny and I need a better adult. Because I'M an adult (almost 46!), and I can't seem to stop browsing pages of Jellycat bunnies. I know our branch of the Evil Bunny Alliance doesn't need more recruits to live here, and the Armchair Lair of Monsters and Bears is jam-packed, too. But as Merricat Bunny keeps reminding me, Jellycat bunnies are ~soooo soft~!
Dear Self, if you don't manage to get this particular hat decorated to your liking by tomorrow, it's no big deal. You have at least 5 other giant Edwardian/Merry Widow hats to choose from to wear to ECCC.

Auntie, how old is Goth Juice? It looks so good but all they have it dirty right now in stores ); what's it like?
Goth Juice was released in ... 2008? Somewhere around there, I think. It smelled like walking through a gloomy forest at twilight, as the stars started to twinkle in the sky. It wasn't a super-plastic-hold hair product that would hold Big Goth Hair up by itself, but it was fantastic for smoothing and keeping pointy bangs in place, or to use when you wanted some styling hold but without a crunchy feel.
I have a >tiny< bit left that I'm saving for the next time I put my hair in rag curls, because Goth Juice was the best product I ever found for that.

Or, apparently it is always around 1992 somewhere in my brain? While out at a consignment store with my StuntSherlock, I found a dress that was an exact duplicate for one I owned and loved in 1992-94 -ish. Heavyweight, dense, 4-way stretch crushed velvet in that perfect burgundy/oxblood/pomegranate and deep merlot wine color.
... In a size too small for me. Arrrgh! Otherwise it would have been mine once again.
I love having black and pink hair, but the upkeep. Oh, the time it takes for the upkeep.
In other frivolous hair news, I'm idly thinking of putting my hair up in the backcombed liberty rolls/Bride of Frankenstein style on Monday, since it's supposed to be sunny and in the 80s. (Do. Not. WANT. Not ready for summer weather, thanks!)

Not tiny, actually, so my worries that it wouldn't hold all my necessary items are a smidge ridiculous. It's something like 6 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" wide. I wish I could add a strap to it, but there isn't a good spot to attach one.

I've never gotten in the habit of regularly switching purses, partially because moving things from one purse to the other is a Huge Production in JilliLand.

I did just test if I could slip the handles over one hand and hang it on my arm, and that does work. I just wouldn't be able to do that very often, as that would be a lot of weight hanging from around my wrist.
I admit I probably am going to switch to that box purse for at least a few days, and see if doing so quells the ElderGoth box purse nostalgia fit I'm currently suffering.
