It was unnatural, some small part of Alpha even resisted these weird hugs. But this small part was quickly devoured by a greater feeling of strange affection, making him purr every time he interacted with both Beta and...

The gentle purr turned into an irritated rumble, causing Beta to involuntarily cringe in his sleep when Alpha noticed Helga absence.

Don't get him wrong, he wasn't annoyed because he couldn't find a person, it wasn't even a problem for him. He was annoyed with the very fact of escape.

Helga herself, clumsy with fatigue, was now persistently crawling toward the exit, unsuccessfully trying to remain unnoticed and driven by the hope that no one would notice her disappearance. Although it was as much hope as fear.

Everyone else here was already fast asleep, Helga was sure of it, but she herself couldn't fall asleep. At first, she was tormented by the thought that her offer to throw a sleepover party had been too selfish, and that no one really wanted it, but had agreed out of pity.

Then, watching Beta and Alpha fall asleep, Helga began to think that they were fine without her, and that she was just disturbing them. What was she disturbing them with? Helga wasn't sure, but she knew she was disturbing them somehow. So she decided to leave, leaving the two... the three of them? All of them alone with each other, sleeping and being fine without her and her worries.

Helga's hands hover a few centimeters from her boots and coat, carelessly tossed by the exit, when she feels someone's gaze on her. It wasn't hard to figure out whose gaze it was, but she lacked the courage to turn around and look into those red eyes.

The owner of the red eyes takes advantage of this.

Helga was looking at Alpha, still not daring to say anything. They both knew that what he had said was an outright lie, but it somehow... calmed Helga. Hesitantly, she reaches out to pat Alpha's head reassuringly, but Alpha himself reached out to her touch, purring uncharacteristically loudly.

Helga watches in surprise for a few seconds, not believing what she sees and hears, before finally pat Alpha forehead with a quiet laugh. Who knew that pat Eldritch could be so calming?

And Alpha didn't object. it didn't disturb him.

A piercing scream, breaking intro a pitiful wheeze, pierced the nighttime silence of the bare trees seemed to tremble slightly under the force of the high-pitched tone.

In a fit of despair, Beta collapsed intro the arms of another Eldritch, wrapping they arms around his shoulders and continuing to sob hysterically.

They are tired of the constant felling of insignificance, tired of their own powerlessness and the realization that they are now nothing more than a vessel for an unknown entity.

Alpha froze in surprise, using his lower pair of arms to support purple Eldritch's weakness body, while his upper pair of arms were slightly raised, as if to defend himself against the unexpected action.

"How can I help you?... What can I do for you?" Thoughts swirled in his head like a restless waltz.

Beta's body was trembling with fear and bitterness. His chest was moving rapidly and erratically. The feeling of horror and despair was pressing on the robot from the inside, and it seemed that a feels of negativity was about to break through the sturdy metal like paper and tear the poor thing apart.

Solar was silent. But it was better for Beta, they didn't want to hear them, they didn't want anything anymore.

After a few seconds, Alpha lowered his upper arms, eclosing the purple Eldritch in a tight embrace, his sharp claws gently caressing they back in a soothing and affectionate manner, slowly calming them and immersing them in a state of tranquility. His long and woolly tail soft rested on Beta`s back, pulling them closed to his body.

The heavy moans and sobs gradually subsided, turning intro the quiet whimpers of a small child. Alpha`s heart ached as he felt his furry chest soak up the sorrowful tears. He sweetly pressed his face against Beta`s forehead, imitating a faint, barely perceptible kiss, and purple Eldritch`s rays obediently shifted.

Silver tears glistened in the Eldritch`s red eyes in the moonlight. The sobs subsided, and only a faint sniffling could be heard. Alpha slowly descended, carefully placing the drowsy Beta on his lap.

"I can't help you... Maybe I can at least ease your pain?..."

Meet Stella! She's a a broke college student that was hired to photograph and record the eldritch. In return she wouldn't have to worry about her debt. Who hired her and why? :)

Her main targets are Noxis and his band, but she does document the others if she comes across them.

I finally had time to design her and she came out better then I imagine. My "not" traumatized oc. Anyways When Stars Fade to Black au belongs to @sunnydbeam
