People find electric golf carts to be a convenient and popular mode of transportation around 18 holes of a course or a large neighborhood or community. Just like any other form of transportation, they may break down and need repairs from time to time. Here are five of the more common problems that can occur with electric golf carts
.
Batteries: Always check the batteries first to make sure they are charged. If the batteries will not hold a charge or have any signs of corrosion, you may need to have them replaced.
Ignition: With the constant wear and tear, ignition key switches can wear out or break. There can also be an issue with the wiring between the switch and the battery.
Solenoid: This part is responsible for the clicking sound you hear when you engage the gas pedal, which is a good thing. When it stops working, it may be due to loose wires, corrosion, or a broken coil.
Direction Switch: Your cart can be moved forward and backward by the direction switch. Like any other frequently used part, it can break over time.
Controller: The speed of an electric golf cart is determined by the speed controller. Problems with this part may be trickier to diagnose and repair.
