Four Weeks Until Election Day

Let's talk maps!

If the election were held today (which it partially is, with early voting already started in some states!) here's what the results would be if voting matches the polls:

More realistically though, at this point, I think it'll look more like this:

Now the notes: Biden has been holding leads in North Carolina and Florida for months now, but they're small. His lead in Florida is bigger, so I went Florida Blue, North Carolina Red. Still, I'm not betting on Florida. It could go either way.

I also moved Ohio and Georgia to Red.

How have the polls changed in the last week?

I'm tracking the numbers for 11 states, and Biden's numbers are up in almost every state. Georgia switched from trump to Biden (though he's leading by just 0.8) but he's down in Ohio (from 1.0 to 0.4).

Biden's lead in Pennsylvania has been steadily growing, which will be a very important state.

Of course, all of this is dependent on people being able to vote safely and all ballots being counted!

I mean it's not far off but you have to consider population density in those red counties.

Seems like the correlation between living close to people(who are different than you by lifestyle, background and ethnicity)and giving a shit about them, is pretty telling.
