Electric Black - Late Night Lightning
Release Date: 27 Oct 2023
Electric Black is a high-voltage, riff driven hard rock band from Hitchin. Their new album 'Late Night Lightning' is due for release at the end of October.
This electrifying 4-piece band effortlessly fuse elements of classic rock, hard rock and indie rock, creating a sound that is uniquely their own. With a passion for delivering high-octane performances, Electric Black are fast becoming known for their raw energy and captivating stage presence.
Charismatic lead vocalist and songwriter, Ali Shiach, says, “It's four years on from our debut and a lot has happened in the world since then, not least of which was a global pandemic. So there’s a lot of self-reflection coming through on the songs. They are more complex, where we have played around with peaks and troughs, additional musical and vocal layers, even keys and percussion."
Drawing inspiration from iconic rock acts such as Rival Sons, Bad Co, & Black Stone Cherry, Electric Black deliver a fresh and modern take on the genre with their own unique flavour. Their songs explore a variety of themes, ranging from introspection to social commentary, to living life on the edge, all wrapped in catchy melodies and infectious hooks.
Electric Black's sound is exemplified by the scintillating guitar work of Jonny Bryant. Jonny's blazing guitar riffs and soaring solos intertwine with Ali's melodic hooks and atmospheric textures, creating an irresistible sonic tapestry that captures listeners from the first note.
I should also mention the band's rhythm section, Ryan Trotman with his thunderous bass lines, and Matt Butler’s powerful beats and dynamic fills on the drums, ensuring each song has maximum impact.
