Electrical Apprentice An electrical Apprentice works under a certified journeyman electrician in maintaining and installing approved wiring techniques pertaining to the dissemination of light, heat, radio, power and various other electrical utilization systems. The trainee has to undergo different stages of electrical job under the surveillance of an expert to learn the trade.
Work of Electrician Apprentices Electrician jobs majorly cater to different industry; the type of the industry furthermore determines the job work of the project. The base of an electrical employment revolves around installing, constructing, repairing, maintaining, testing and calibrating various circuits and control systems. A variety of testing devices are used to identify power- driven issues.

Prerequisites for Electrician Apprenticeship An electrical apprenticeship requires knowledge inferred from both school training and on field training. A certain hours completed at work place and in-school training is mandatory. Other essential qualifications include;
1. Applicants must have completed 18 years of age
2. Applicants must be physically fit to perform heavy industrial work. He should also have good and sharp eyesight to detect colours and wires.
3. The minimum educational qualification required is a high school degree or equivalent to it, wherein knowledge gained in Physics, English and Principal of Mathematics is compulsory.
4. Aspirants who have completed Entry Level Trade Training program is accredited with higher priority
5. The candidate should also possess Mathematical and Quantitative aptitude, greater reflex, manual adroitness, and analytical and practical approach to problem solving
6. The trainee should also recruit certain awareness in identifying and interpreting technical drawings and blue prints, electrical codes and computer aided designs.
Entry Level Trades Training Program (ELTT) The Electrical Joint Training Committee (EJTC) offers one of the best apprenticeship programs. The ELTT program amasses electrician training practical and theory course preparation. It is the first step for an apprentice. In successful completion of which, the candidate will be entitled with a level 1 certificate to train with ITA (Industry Training Authority).
