LEARN MORE ABOUT SOLAR PANELS - Solar panels come in different sizes and with different cell types and arrangements.
Generally, a panel can have a collection of 60 or more solar cells depending on the size you need. There are two different cell types, mono-crystalline or poly-crystalline. The difference in performance between mono and poly-crystalline panels of a similar wattage is absolutely marginal â so donât feel like you have to install one over the other.
For cell arrangement â you can choose the âstandardâ, which looks like a monopoly panel, or a âhalf-cut', which means the cells are cut in half or âshingledâ, where the cells slightly overlap one another.
Pro-tip: If you have SHADE that creeps up onto your solar panels through the day then use the half-cut or shingled panels over standard conventional ones.
