A pack of wild dogs gives chase to one who grabbed a bone and took off- at Pilanesberg National Park and Game Reserve in the North West.

A wild dog sighting is always special as they are facing extinction with only about 5000 dogs left on in the world. They must not have been hungry as this seemed more of a game than anything else.

A close-up of a white rhinoceros in the bush at a Game Reserve in North West. I intentionally do not mention the name of the reserve as it may alert poachers.

The late afternoon light gave this picture wonderful warmth.

Both these rhinos have such a magnificent horn it would be tragic if they decided to de-horn them. Having said that one can fully understand why they are doing it more and more.
