It's been confirmed that Rachel macadams is not playing night nurse on doctor strange lol... keep reaching
Her name is Christine Palmer who is a Night Nurse. I’m not reaching I’ve got sources https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Nurse_(comics) and http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1046097/
So basically you don't want any white people protesting because it's not about us
Haha no. And I think you know that. Work on your reading comprehension...or at least read the whole piece.
Here's the last paragraph:
"So, if you’re actually here for making Black Lives Matter, put down your “I can’t breathe” signs (because you can, and that’s the point) and pick up one that declares Black Lives Matter (because right now they don’t, and that’s the point). Get off the ground and stand in solidarity as Black people “die-in” (because it’s not white bodies lying dead on our nation’s streets, and that’s the point). Hand over the bullhorn to a Black person (because your voice doesn’t need a bullhorn to be heard, and that’s the point)."
It's not about whether you protest. It's about how you protest. All I asked was that white folks who claim to care about my life actually center my life in protests about my life by doing simple things like making sure their chants are topical and that their signs are meaningful. Seriously, why can't you just say #BlackLivesMatter? What's wrong with the slogan we already have? It certainly means more than "whose streets? our streets" and "this is what democracy looks like."
If Black lives are going to matter, at the very least our voices should matter when discussing protests about...ya know...our lives.
Lady gaga: makes it possible for gay Americans to join the army, by using her voice and fans to repeal don't ask don't tell. Has a foundation for youth empowerment and equality.
while at the same time treating gay men like playthings
even if i did stan for miley that guy's point was still stupid. gaga is considered to be one of the biggest popstars in the world whereas miley cyrus has only stepped into the public spotlight on such a level within the last 12 months. gaga's sales are quite clearly going down and ke$ha's yelling "timber"; no one knows where miley's gonna go now she's solidified herself as an important pop artist.
You're saying Gaga's career is over, but ARTPOP has sold more than Bangerz worldwide :/ I guess Miley's career never started
i don't stan for miley cyrus or care that much about bangerz so i really don't get what angle you're coming from here tbh but this kind of proves my point that little monsters always need to bring other artists into the equation so they don't have to confront the fact that gaga's losing relevancy at the same rate at which fiona goode lost hair bye you messy bottom
Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked.
Rule 3: Tag 10 people and link them to the post
Rule 4: Actually tell them you tagged them.
I was tagged, in a previous post of course, by the most wonderful metanoiiia and I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that I am both honored to have been chosen to take part in this, and I am utterly excited to proceed with it!
1. What was your favorite read in High School english and why?
I'm not yet finished high school, and my classes never seems to read the really good books, so this may or may not make me seem ignorant and undereducated, but if there is one thing I am not, it is a rule breaker, so I'll answer anyway.
Assuming this is based on the books one is required to read, I can remember enjoying The Outsiders in grade eight, and this year, I thoroughly enjoyed Lord of the Flies. I'm not exactly sure why I liked them so much, but I suppose they were entertaining in a way that others I've read have not been. I really didn't have a taste for Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes, which I was forced to read in grade nine, or To Kill a Mockingbird, which I didn't even finish in grade ten.
My high school is really less than satisfactory when it comes to the departments of English, arts, or anything that does not pertain to athletics. I like sports, but I absolutely hate my school.
2. Ice cream or cake or both? WHY?
ICECREAM CAKE all the way! So I suppose my answer is both. I have an immense sweet tooth, which probably explains why I am so fat, so it is hard for me to choose between two favourites. I like the fact that, with both ice cream and cake, you always have more sub-options; flavours and toppings vary, and because I vary too, I like that.
Yes, relatable food is good.
3. Do you play a musical instrument? If not, do you wish you did?
With my entire being, I wish I could play an instrument. I used to be specific about my aspirations, but now I really don't think I'd care what it was as long as I could make music with it. In grade five I wanted to play the saxophone, and then in grade six I had a thing for guitars, and then I didn't think about it for a while, I guess.
Now, if I had my choice, I'd probably elect to play the piano, cello, viola, or violin. I don't really listen to that much classical music, but that's not to say I don't like it, and to be able to play it, or anything actually, would be absolutely incredible.
4. Taco or burrito? Definitely explain your reasoning
Eh, I've never really been one for the Mexican foods. I suppose I like both, a decent amount, but there are certainly other foods that I enjoy more. I actually prefer my tacos in a salad format too, so does that make them no longer tacos?
5. Frodo or Sam or no?
Ah, I hate to have to do this, but I'm going to have to assume that these are both Lord of the Rings characters? Oh lord, I feel so stupid, but I haven't gained any knowledge of the characters stated via any kind of media, at least not yet. I swear, I intend to read the books or watch the movies at my earliest convenience!
6. If given the chance, would you go into space?
I'm a little bit indifferent about this one too. As much as I'd love to be brave, I really am a coward at heart and, though most would think the answer to this question would be obvious and effortless, for me it is not that easy. It would be an incredible experience, yet, but the risks might have me second guessing myself. I'd be terrified, I really would, and I know that if anything went wrong I would be no help at all, up there. I just... I think I'd be too much of a coward to even answer the question directly.
7. What is your favorite type of music?
I believe it is vaguely titled "Alternative".
8. Are you going to Uni or High School?
Currently, high school. In the future, almost definitely Uni.
9. Whats your personal goal in life?
I want to help people like me. I know that is a very general statement, but I actually don't even know what I mean by that, exactly, yet. What I do know, however, is that I don't want to have just inhabited this earth to go to school, complain, and drag others down; I want to be able to die knowing that I did something for someone that no one else could have done. I guess that makes me selfish, too, though. Doesn't it.
10. Happiness in one sentence-go!
Nothing.
That is happiness to me in just one word. Nothing at all. No feelings, no stress, no work to be done, to mistakes to regret, no fatigue to drown me. Just nothing.
