Swedish troupe Ruby Empress likes to call their music “Debussy disco”, and you’ll quickly comprehend why once you’ve heard the band’s third single to date, a lavish dazzler named Escapism Deluxe. A classy glam and elegant luxuriant dosage of velveteen electro funk and French electro house engulfs us as we delve into the brazen dashing tune. Escapism Deluxe is a disco swanky groover that channels Justice, Phoenix, and Jungle, all at the same time. It doesn’t get more “deluxe” than Escapism Deluxe, a taste off the quartet’s debut EP, Empressionism, due out February 10th. A music video is expected to arrive soon.
