They are going through a period of huge growth, giving way for a host of opportunities for the very best engineers within Electrical engineering.Role: Principal Electronics EngineerLocation: CambridgeSalary: £49,000- £60,000 (Depending on experience)The Role:Lead delivery of power electronic application layer software control systemsProvide input to (or lead) delivery of power electronic/thermal aspects of power electronics design.Provide input to (or lead) delivery of electromagnetic/thermal/mechanical aspects of electric machine design.Interest in Multiphysics optimisation for power electronic systems.Support the team development of systems approach engineering and processes.Client interaction, project delivery, proposal support and roadmap development.Prepare and present technical papers at world class conferences.Key Skills:Complex Electromechanical systems.Electrical systems (e.g dc/dc converters).Good ability to use MATLAB and Simulink for complex systems.Core understanding of c/c coding techniques.A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical and Electronic systems.Deep understanding of electrical machines.Knowledge of electrical architectures for a variety of system platforms including mating mechanical/thermal systemsDesirable Skills:Real time model based code deployment using Embedded Coder/Target Link.Experience in productionisation of designs would be beneficial.Development and use of process driven development of electrical machines and power electronics.An active interest in new technology and developments in electric drive systems.The client is a respected and renowned company who are using the latest technology to keep them at the top of their field.
