Asked to select his choice of the greatest modern and future wonders, the electrical wizard refused to accept the popular notion of what is wonderful. His reply led to an onslaught on scientists and the popular science community.

“To the popular mind, any manifestation resulting from any cause will appear wonderful if there is no perceptible connection between cause and effect. For instance, through the means of wireless telephone speech is carried to opposite points of the globe. To the vast majority this must appear miraculous. To the expert who is familiar with the apparatus and sees it in his mind’s eye the result is obvious. It is exactly as though visible means existed to which the impetus is transmitted.

“As I revolve in my mind the thoughts in answer to your question I find the most wonderful thing is the utter aberration of the scientific mind during the last twenty five years. In that time the relativity theory [Albert Einstein], the electron theory [J. J. Thomson], the quantum theory [Max Planck, Niels Bohr, Werner Heisenberg, Erwin Schrödinger, Arthur Compton, Paul Dirac, Wolfgang Pauli], the theory of radioactivity [Marie Curie] and others have been worked out and developed to an amazing degree. And yet probably not less than 90 per cent of what is thought today to be demonstrable scientific truth is nothing but unrealizable dreams.

“What is ‘thought’ in relativity, for example, is not science, but some kind of metaphysics based on abstract mathematical principles and conceptions which will be forever incomprehensible to beings like ourselves whose whole knowledge is derived from a three-dimensional world.

“The idea of the atom being formed of electrons and protons which go whirling round each other like a miniature sun and planets is an invention of the imagination, and has no relation to the real nature of matter.

“Virtually all progress has been achieved by physicists, discoverers and inventors; in short, devotees of the science which Newton and his disciples have been and are propounding.

“Personally, it is only efforts in this direction which have claimed my energies. Similar remarks might be made with respect to other modern developments of thought. Take, for example, the electron theory. Perhaps no other has given rise to so many erroneous ideas and chimerical hopes. Everybody speaks of electrons as something entirely definite and real. Still, the fact is that nobody has isolated it and nobody has measured its charge. Nor does anybody know what it really is.

“In order to explain the observed phenomena, atomic structures have been imagined [Quantum Mechanics], none of which can possibly exist. But the worst illusion to which modern thought has led is the idea of ‘indeterminacy’ [ex. Uncertainty Principle/Schrödinger's Cat: W. Heisenberg, E. Schrödinger]. To make this clear, I may remark that heretofore we have in positive science assumed that every effect is the result of a preceding cause.

“As far as I am concerned, I can say that after years of concentrated thought and investigation there is no truth in nature of which I would be more fully convinced. But the new theories of ‘indeterminacy’ state this is not true, that an effect cannot be predicted in advance.

“If two planets collide at certain time and certain place, this is to the student of positive science an inevitable result of preceding interactions between the bodies; and if our knowledge would be adequate, we would be able to foretell the event accurately.

“But in the spirit of the new theories this would simply be an accident. ‘Indeterminacy’ introduces into the world of inert matter a principle which might virtually be compared with the universal illusion of free will.

“Of course, there is no such thing. In years of experimenting I have found that every thought I conceive, every act I perform, is the result of external impressions on my senses.

“It is only because the vast majority of human being are not observant sufficiently that they live in the illusion of perfect choice and freedom in their thoughts and actions. And if this holds true even in the most complex and involved manifestations of human life, it holds true with the same force in all the world of matter.”

With this pessimistic outlook expressed earlier in the interview Dr. Tesla was not satisfied to contemplate the world spinning eternally around on its orbit.

“The earth may explode, a planet may collide with us, yet it has existed a long time.” 

His reply had a note of grim humor, indicating that even a scientist who locks himself away from the world may know his homely aphorisms.

“Being perfectly satisfied that all energy in matter is drawn from the environment, it was quite natural that when radioactivity was discovered in 1896 I immediately started a search for the external agent which caused it. The existence of radioactivity was positive proof of the existence of external rays. I had previously investigated various terrestrial disturbances affecting wireless circuits but none of them or any others emanating from the earth could produce a steady sustained action and I was driven to the conclusion that the activating rays were of cosmic origin. This fact I announced in my papers on Roentgen rays and Radiations contributed to the Electrical Review of New York, in 1897. However, as radioactivity was observed equally well in other widely separated parts of the world, it was obvious that the rays must be impinging on the earth from all directions. Now, of all bodies in the Cosmos, our sun was most likely to furnish a clue as to their origin and character. Before the electron theory was advanced, I had established that radioactive rays consisted of particles of primary matter not further decomposable, and the first question to answer was whether the sun is charged to a sufficiently high potential to produce the effects noted. This called for a prolonged investigation which culminated in my finding that the sun’s potential was 216 billions of volts and that all such large and hot heavenly bodies emit cosmic rays. Through further solar research and observation of Novae this has been proved conclusively, and to deny it would be like denying the light and heat of the sun.”

the futility to your design encapsulates your fervor as eloquently as my delineation of desire decries its own dream to be in the arms of the bearer of water herself. nowhere does the sentience of sapience borrow the blase baritone of balance than the crimson cradle of the callous night sky. none other than the chemicals corroded of savants and magicians do the branded chained their own crown the same. how futile itself to say the stars and sky together shine an opulence as lame as the owner to the landfills of our bed's recline. to say less would be to rob the rapier of its own efficiency. in obvious decline, blame the gentry for their own fortification.

Black Holes. Where do Electrons come from?

Nice warm and sunny day in Vancouver,today.  I was up late, last nite, painting.  Woke up about 8:30am for a pee, then had a nap until about 11am, on my studio sofa.

Did my exercises, worked on two small acrylic paintings.  Feeling very well.  Wrote a bit about electrons...

Black Holes and Electrons.

Where do Electrons come from and go to?

Observation and theory has shown us the existence of what we call BLACK HOLES. These are points in space, usually where a Neutron Star has collapsed into a non lignt emitting point in space.  Exactly HOW large these are is a bit hard to determine... certainly they are not singularities... they are MUCH larger than a single electron... and I've already stated that I believe Electrons are a spheroidal construction of DARK MATTER, large enough to become the gateway "particle" between the electro-magnetic world and the world of matter... the solid stuff... and the liquids and gasses.

Where was I?  Right...  So, Black Holes are definitely black.  We could, reasonably, assume that is because they are composed of 'matter' smaller than the physical sizes necessary to resonate with light wave lengths, and/or the matter is NOT emmitting Photons... light wave energy... in the visible spectrum  Here's the thing... we can pretty much show that the Black Holes are, indeed, emitting energy... a LOT of energy, all the time... at their NORTH poles... and, possibly, from BOTH poles... spitting raw dark energy and 'particles' too small to detect with radio waves... i.e. they are extremely short wave lengths... but they leave a 'shadow' blocking light from stars seen from behind them, at the point of observation.

Now... EVERYTHING gets sucked into those holes, from space, including electrons.  Do the electrons break down... highly likely, they do.  Are electrons spit out at the poles... yes, highly likely.  But, what about Protons and Neutrons... nope... don't see much of those but they are likely there in smaller numbers... too small to detect.

Protons are nearly 2,000 times larger than electrons.  They break down into two Up Quarks and one Down Quark, or two Down Quarks and one Up Quark. Here's the thing... assume an average equal energy/mass for each Quark, and you still have each Quark being about 600+ times the mass of a single Electron.  Just what, exactly, are those Quarks.  I suggest they are 'cages' constructed of Dark Matter and Electrons, so well bonded, only a Sun can break them down to Dark Matter and Dark Energy... to start the rebuilding all over again.  Protons and Neutrons are abundantly being cranked out of stars.

I urge you to keep remembering that ALL things are in MOTION, all of the time.  Gravity is mostly an illusion of motion, the rest is electro-magnetic attraction at the micro levels of reality... within atoms, and molecules, and each other.  All are seeking rest at the centre of the planets and stars... they can't all fit there, so the endless battle for rest goes on forever.

Remember Pauli?  The Pauli Principle?  No two objects may occupy the same place, at the same time.  Matter has hereness and thereness... it's a battle that can never end.

DARK MATTER AND DARK ENERGY

Cloudy with some sunny breaks, in Vancouver, today.   I was up and about by 9am.  Feeling very well.  I've spent the past 19 years alone and in my own company... without any really close friends with whom I could hang out, or talk with.  In any case, I can never find anyone who knows the kinds of things I do and would understand them... quantum and particle physics.

But, being alone, I have time to think about those kinds of things and do.  I'm obsessed with trying to find simple ways to show people that time is a kind of illusion we have of change... it's always NOW, and time is simply a measurement tool of change.  The important thing is this... that one's perception, of time, is also dependent upon one's size and ability to detect various wave lengths of energy... for instance, to be able to FEEL heat, and to SEE light, and have a sense of touch, all connected to a memory, howerver well it might be working. It works better in some, than in others.  The thing is, I think a lot about those kinds of things, however obscure they may seem to be to most people.

So, I have determined that the electron is the most important particle to we humans and sets the clock of time by controlling electronic information to our brains... at the speed they can spin and by their size and distance between each of them... we call it the speed of light.  Applying more energy simply makes them spin faster... carry more energy "at the same time"... but the energy still has to get from HERE to THERE... which is the physical size of the actual electrons.  You can move more energy by moving MORE electrons too... in electricity we would call that amperes.

Today, I was thinking about dark matter and energy... which is all around us.  It is the stuff that is smaller than electrons.  To dark matter 'particles' the electrons are rather large things.  When we smash protons, in particle accelerators, we find they break down into a lot of different things... many of which don't have mass/weight as we might understand it.  That is because they have what physicists would call half spin... kind of like being only half a particle, at the speed of light, measured at the speed of light for a moment in time in a cloud chamber... how they detect those little suckers.  These days, cloud chambers are highly sophisticated and electronic devices.

Anyhow, they get things we call photons, gluons, quarks and, always those pesky electrons coming out of things... almost everything will spit out an electron when you smash it or decay it.  Even Neutrinos break down into electrons and those suckers are raining down on us, from the sun, all day long.  The Sun, and all stars, exist in a kind of state hard to find upon Earth. It is called PLASMA.  It is a state where all rules of physics seem to break down and matter is torn completely apart into its parts.

If we could have a different view of time, and slow all those events down to light speed, we might see it was just a mass of other 'particles' trying to come to rest, but can't.  The only way to truly come to rest is to simply pass out of existence.  That is not possible... but things can break down until there is nothing smaller, or faster, they can be, at the SAME TIME.  We see matter as solids, liquids and gasses because, at light speed recognition, they are standing waves of energy to us... sitting at rest... to us.  But we are always move... estimated at about 600 kilometers per second, through space.  All that energy gets spun in ever smaller circles and vortexes and we think it is matter.  To us, it is.  It's all very solid and real, to us, because we are made of the same 'stuff'.

I think about these kinds of things, all the time... and keep trying to find a way to show average and intelligent humans what I'm going on about.  I'm old and have little interest in most things human, any more.  I don't know how much longer I might live.  It might be a day or 10 years... I'm too old to predict that kind of thing, now.   So, I view my time as very limited and I'm trying my best to find intelligent people who have more interest in life than TV series stories and where they are taking their next vacation.  I'm trying hard to accomplish things because, as an atheist, I believe this is my only shot, as me, to make any difference to the reality going on, here upon Earth.  The planet is very sick and needs all the help it can get.  The humans are asleep at the helm.

There is no such thing as a 'god' to me.  The very idea is vile, evil, and, quite frankly, completely ridiculous to an educated and intelligent person.  Brain washing can be overcome, and religions are an insidious kind of brain washing of the masses to try to make them conform.  When a people beleive they are 'better' than others, they will do the most horrific things imaginable to those who oppose their righteous way.  There are no humans more vile, vicious and evil than those who believe they are on the side of their 'god' and everyone else is the enemy.
