He dropped nuggets of wisdom on me like he got them on sale from the Taj Mahal jewelry store each encounter a spiritual awakening, yellow light bursting through his malleable heart filtering through the gossamer garment around me his palladium rained on my copper tone skin he melted me, changed me, appreciated me branded me gold liquor to endure the refining under his hand 79 times I begged him to stay but like a metallic angel  into the dense air he faded away I'd give him all my diamonds and pearl to feel his precious metal in my veins again And like a hollow pendant his memory hangs from my neck He was the best mistake I dared to make
