DRAGON AGE
1. The first character I first fell in love with
Alistair. Seriously, I went into DA:O with no expectations whatsoever. Wasn't that familiar with BioWare, didn't know romance options were a thing. I don't think I was even that familiar with western RPGs at all. So when Duncan tells you to go find Alistair at Ostagar, I was expecting someone more like Duncan, a stuffy old British guy. And then you meet him. This snarky adorable asshole who proceeds to ruin your life for the whole rest of the game.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Isabela. My first impression of her was unfortunately "Oh, look. A fanservice character." But then she turns out to be well, her and she's so awesome.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
At least in my particular circle, Anders. I don't hate him, but I've never much cared for him a whole lot.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Do people hate Oghren? I don't think so, but he doesn't get as much love as the romanceable companions from DA:O and that is just shameful. He is so friggin' hilarious. And you should have seen my face when I looked up the DA:O IMDb page and found out he was voiced by Steve Blum.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Maybe Fenris? I romanced him my first DA2 playthrough, but now he's been slightly overshadowed by Isabela.
6. The character I would totally smooch
Alistair. I'd smooch him and then some. Sexy bastard.
7. The character I’d want to be like
Aveline. Strong, brave and a loyal friend.
8. The character I’d slap
Arl Howe. Unlike Loghain or Eamon, he never cared for Ferelden or any of his family, he just wanted more power and did some pretty gross things to get it.
9. A pairing that I love
Sassy f!Hawke/Isabela, f!Cousland/Alistair
10. A pairing that I despise
Morrigan/Alistair. Sometimes tension is just tension, y'all.
