After several months of working off and on to turn my barebones NaNoWriMo 2016 project, plus all the plot/world/character threads I wanted to add to it forever, into something better than the incoherent & kinda shitty mess it was, it finally feels like a lot of pieces are falling into place today. I’ve been working on a spreadsheet all morning with a big list of all the moving parts I’ve organized and reorganized fifty times, and it feels like things are finally starting to form themselves into a coherent plot outline for a five-book series.

Obviously the hardest step (writing) comes next, but it feels so good to have something concrete to look at after literal years of trying to turn my trash-fire-with-promise WIP from 2016 into just a wip-with-promise. I’ll have to change the name I use on here, though- no more elemental magic in this wip!

(Of course, this is all happening right when I was trying to focus on a different WIP for NaNoWriMo 2019, and of course, I have a feeling that expressing confidence in this WIP means it’ll all come crashing down, but, hey, today is nice at least...)

Think I’m going to structure the elemental series rewrite as a four book series and see where things go from there. The number 4 is present in a lot of places in the world, and it works with the very loose plot outline I have.

man i love my wip a lot but it has so many kinda major flaws and i’m worried i won’t be able to fix the flaws without losing the things i love about it

Current inconvenience: I want to sleep because it’s 1am and I can’t keep my college sleep schedule anymore, but my brain is just so, so, so in the mood to get something done on my WIP
