@windriding (Muse: Anima Verse: Zestiria) It was fairly early in the morning, sometime in the middle of winter. Not a lot of animals were around in the forest at these times, or at least, they weren't the easiest to track down. He had a few things he could offer in trade at town, though whether the local merchants would take them or not was another story. He had heard though, from some locals who he'd passed on the edge of the town, that a group of travelling merchants would be coming by and staying for a short while. The Sparrowfeathers, or something to that effect. His memory was usually abnormally good, but he hadn't heard the speakers too clearly. Maybe they wouldn't have heard the 'rumours' yet. About him, about what he'd supposedly done...granted, his abilities were true, so he wouldn't call those rumours. What qualified as a rumour was....anything else. The murders, especially, regardless of who had done it, always led back to him somehow. He been questioned by authorities but they had no evidence he'd done anything, especially since he hadn't even known about it until they'd brought it up with him. Locals were convinced though. The irony was, if he wanted, he could change their minds about that. He couldn't really bring himself to, though, otherwise he would become what they were accusing him of. What defence did he have then? He shook his thoughts away. The worst he'd really done was steal a few things every now and then. Usually small things, like pieces of food during times he couldn't find things to hunt, but a few times, he'd taken clothes for sale, and one time, a thick blanket, though he tried not to if he could avoid it. Still, it got cold some days, and he'd rather not die of exposure to the elements. Rain was the worst, though he had shelter for that. A bit shabby, since the deserted building had been covered and repaired by him, but it'd do. He headed to town in silence with some gathered things wrapped in a large cloth. He'd washed off recently and did what he could to not draw attention to himself, so hopefully few would pay much mind. As he entered, he looked around for unfamiliar faces who could be offering up trade.
