The Business and Philanthropy VIP Mixer will feature networking, appetizers and a fashion show with models from the corporate, civic and education community to support the "All Bullying Ceases Project". The event will be hosted by Hollywood Radio personality Yesi Ortiz. During this event, youth and college attendees will have the opportunity to interact with community leaders, business professionals and civic representatives. This event will also feature local performers. What: The 2014 Stop the Violence Los Angeles event is organized by high school and college students in Los Angeles, which includes a series of wrap around workshops for youth ages 11-20. With the support of Cal State University Northridge student volunteers, youth attendees are trained on how to lead and organize volunteerism and service learning activities in their community throughout the year. Celebrity California Fashion Show The Celebrity California Fashion event features a host that is well known in the local Hollywood community who also carries a passion to supporting youth services and programs. With their support and the support of their social network, we are able to carry the "Stop The Violence" message beyond the event attendees and into the community. Together with the Celebrity hosts, and young emerging models and college role models, this event connects youth with role models, Hollywood trendsetters, and the fresh faces in the fashion and beauty industry . Leadership Workshops and Trainings The purpose of the Youth Service Leadership Training is to educate, train and empower youth groups by providing leadership training that will promote and enhance the quality of leadership service in their programs/clubs, their communities and throughout the state of California.Our training is based on building young people’s capacity to create activities and events that are entertaining, promote health and wellness, and exposure to concepts of leadership and the opportunity to demonstrate their skills through positive social action.The event will feature three, 1 hour workshops, and a fashion show. Workshops will focus on empowerment through fashion, event planning, and leadership development. After the 3 workshops conclude, we will have a 2 hour fashion show. Stop The Violence Fashion Show The purpose of the Stop The Violence Rally is to allow diverse youth from various communities who support leadership, community, and mentoring, to come together for an evening of fashion, social networking, and entertainment. Youth are involved with event organizing, marketing, promoting, and fundraising. This is a youth led project that is hosted in several cities throughout California. When: Friday March 28, 2014 Business and Philanthropy VIP MIXER 6-8pm CELEBRITY FASHION SHOW 8pm-10pm Saturday March 29, 2014 Leadership Workshops and Trainings 11am - 4pm Stop The Violence Fashion Show 4pm -6pm About the PARTI PROGRAM The Positive Alternative Recreation Team building Impact (PARTI) program's mission is to promote youth education around healthy lifestyles and healthy decision-making. Since 2001, we have served over 5,000 high-risk, impacted, and intentional youth in Santa Clara County, Alameda County, And Los Angeles County. Our 5 main programs are: High Impact, cultural arts (Fusion), PARTI Health, Leadership Development, and Mentorship Program. We are widely known as a dedicated, non-profit organization with the primary mission of enhancing critical thinking skills in today’s youth. Through these programs, we are able to meet the mission that was established and continue to serve over 200 youth annually.
