Holy shit Pangur’s eyes in your last post are gorgeous!!!!!
yeah, she lacks pigment so they’re quite odd looking! the only “colour” is the red of blood vessels + structural colouration (you know how the sky is blue because light refracts through it a certain way? that’s structural colouration, and is present in both cat and human eyes)
in low-light Pangur’s eyes are a nasty looking dull red, like peeled grapes
but in bright lighting, her red pupils contract & refraction brings out the structural blue in her eyes, turning them either a lovely purple
or an indigo blue, depending on the light conditions
but even in bright light there’s still red veining around her irises - this kitten photo shows it well. albino cats have poor vision and should not be deliberately bred, but they certainly are fun to look at
