About Eleos, Goddess of Compassion
Lady Eleos is a Hellenic Deity, and is the daughter of Nyx and Erebus. She is the Goddess, and personfied spirit (Daimon), of Compassion, Pity, Mercy, and Clemency. Her Roman counterpart is Clementia.
Eleos held a temple in Athens and, according to Pausanias, "The Athenians are the only ones among the Hellenes that worship this divine being, and among all the gods this is the most useful to human life in all its vicissitudes."
