The Growlers!
EF-4C Wild Weasel IV 1968-1978
The Wild Weasel upgrade project served to transform fighter jets into radar hunters and surface-to-air missile launchers; these aircraft were the mainstay of electronic warfare in Vietnam, equipped with anti-radiation missiles and protecting bomber crews in linebacker operations.
EF-4B Phantom-II 1973-1978
Another conversion of the F-4B, this time specialized in electronic warfare. However, this version served as a trainer, since the Navy had several other aircraft specifically for that function. This was another way to utilize the old first-generation Phantoms. It's important to remember that the F-4 did have versions specialized in electronic warfare, but those were versions used by the Air Force.
