In the midst of Leroy’s set, he brought out the birthday boy to join him on stage in a duet of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down”. Their voices brought together in harmony sent chills throughout my body. It was great to watch them perform together, their “bromance” was predominant throughout. As the song came to an end Leroy and the band surprised Mario with a cake as Leroy serenaded him with a classic, “Happy Birthday”.

Earlier this year I had the chance to see Leroy in concert at the Smiling Buddha and it left me wanting more. So when Leroy announced that he was going on tour again, and to my luck making a stop in Toronto, I had to go. This time he performed at the Mod Club, where many big artist have performed at before their rise to fame.
He started off the show with a track off his EP “Elevated” with “Don’t Let Me Down”, getting the crowd bobbing their heads and singing along. Which followed by more originals and a few of his most known covers such as Shawn Mendes’s “Nothing Holding Me Back” and a song that I’m sure everyone has heard “Despacito”, which brought some laughs when Leroy would point the mic for the audience to sing but since majority of the crowd didn’t speak Spanish it was just “na, na, na,na, naaaaaa... DES-PA-CITOOO”.
Arbor Skateboards: Get Elevated Tour Episode 1 by Arbor Collective
In the first installment of the 2011 Get Elevated Series, the Arbor Skateboards team including James Kelly, Kody Noble, Max Myers, Eric Singer, Jimmy Riha and Duke Degen meet up at the Skate House in Los Angeles before heading Northeast into the Sierras. After a long drive and by sheer serendipity, they find a driving guide which leads to a road nestled in the mountain range nearby. Turns out the pavement is super burly with huge cracks across the road the entire way down. After the impromptu session is over, the team rests their heads in Mammoth Lakes in preparation to skate the area the following day. Days 2 and 3 will be featured in the in episode of the Get Elevated Tour. Filmed & Edited: Michael Alfuso Post Production Sound: Art Espinosa
