Anniversary foods… Last year we were in lockdown so there was no pick-up (yet) and we had to order in… $95+ for 2 people from The Works was too $$$ and it was aaawful when it arrived (cold, greasy, wet… etc) So this year we went to S&G Fries (best fries in town! Bestest veggie gravy for the poutine… seriously-crack!) and had 1/2 our servings at lunch around 6 pm… then at 2am we had supper, fixed from last year… BBQ’d our own vegan burgers @daysend_mercantile had grilled pineapple, tangy bbq sauce and cream cheese on his, I had fried cremini mushrooms and Gouda on mine. Yum! And more of our S&G nums on the side. Waaaaaay cheaper and SO MUCH better than last year. Total win! Plus we can redo it tomorrow because we made double tonight.
