Red Lion Cub Plush #2 – based on the Red Lion from Voltron Legendary Defender

As usual, everything is completely handsewn. All of the fabric used is minky, with a tight filling of standard poly fiber stuffing, with gold safety eyes and a safety nose. The turquoise minky used for the paw pads, inner ears, and tail tip has an embossed star pattern, and I use it on the ears and paw pads of every Voltron lion cub plush in reference to the running lights on the robots. It has a small “Handsewn by ElfGrove” tag on the butt in the hopes that if it ever gets lost that info will help the little lion find its way back home to their Paladin again.

Red Lion Cub Plush #1 – based on the Red Lion from Voltron Legendary Defender

Actually completed on December 18, 2017, but photos were withheld as this was a commissioned Yule gift for a young Red Paladin.
As usual, everything is completely handsewn. All of the fabric used is minky, with a tight filling of standard poly fiber stuffing, with gold safety eyes and a safety nose. The turquoise minky used for the paw pads, inner ears, and tail tip has an embossed star pattern, and I use it on the ears and paw pads of every Voltron lion cub plush in reference to the running lights on the robots. Slav Scarf #2 from Voltron Legendary Defender

This character scarf is modeled based on Slav from the new Voltron series. It’s approximately 78 inches long in total and made entirely from arctic fleece and felt. The eyebrows are hand-embroidered. The face attaches on with two snap buttons and can be removed or reoriented based on the owner’s wishes, and the eight arms tuck into the gray felt pockets for more comfortable scarf wearing. Because it is designed to function as a scarf, only the head is stuffed. The tail has one of my “Handsewn by ElfGrove” tags.
Okay folks. I really never expected to have as much serious interest as people have expressed in commissioning plushes from me in the last couple of months. I am opening a limited number of slots for commissions. Once they fill up, I will close them again, and re-open after the current commissions are completed.

Please note I will not start making the plushes immediately. I will discuss schedules with individual commissioners.
I am open to commissions that are brand new designs or remakes/alterations of most of the plushes I have made previously (some designs will be restricted for various reasons). See my finished plushes list for reference of past works if you want to see something re-created or similar to an existing design. [link]
I will not make extremely large plushes. I will not make something that can easily be acquired mass produced. I will not make copies of someone else's original design (artwork or plush) without their permission.
Please note that all of my plushes are completely hand sewn, so each is slightly different and the prices will reflect the hand-crafted nature of the plushes. Check my FAQ for more detail about my plush making. [link]
Due to the limited slots available and this fact this is 90% hobby, I will choose what plush commissions I want to accept, and might to refuse to accept a commission on any grounds I see fit. I don't imagine this will come up outside of just not having time to make everything, but the caveat is there. It also means this is not necessarily a “first come, first served” commission list, so please don’t feel the need to rush emailing me your requests, but once the slots are full, that will be it until I work through that list. I will respond to all commission inquiries made while commission slots are open; I will not leave you hanging. I will not pre-book commission slots while commissions are closed.
Of note, due to the loss/theft of my Black Lion Cub plush, I will not be commissioning any new Black Lion Cub plushes at this time.
How to request a commission:

Please make the subject of the email Plush Commission [insert some short unique identifier or description]
In the body of the email:
1) Tell me what you plush you want made, if it is a new design or an alteration of an existing design, please include pictures, a link, and/or a detailed description of what you want, including size if appropriate.
2) Tell me if there is a specific fabric type or other details you want used for the plush.
3) Let me know if there is a deadline you need the plush by.
4) Exact addresses aren't necessary at this point, but give me a general vicinity (city/state) that I will be mailing the plush to for shipping estimation purposes.
5) If you want to do this commission as a trade, please let me know up front and what kind of trade you’re offering. Cosplayer likes skill trades.
6) Include any other information or details you feel are relevant.
The Commission Process:
Please Note: It may take anywhere between 24 and 72 hours for me to respond to commission requests.
Once I receive your email, I will respond to you with information of if I am willing/able to take on the commission, a request for more information or details to be decided if needed, what I expect the finished plush size and materials will be, an estimated timeline of when I expect I'll to finish the plush, and an estimated cost and shipping quote. If needed, we can discuss changing sizes, materials, or other details to adjust the cost of the plush.
With a new or altered design, I may send you sketches and photos of fabrics to choose between to make sure we get the right look. You are not obligated at this point to commission me, we're working out details and a price quote. (If I sketch out a new plush design and you choose not to commision me, the design is not to be taken to another plush maker to re-create. You will need to start over from scratch with them.)
Once the details and a final price quote are worked out, 50% of the quoted price is due (to be paid via Paypal) before I start sewing to cover material costs. This will generally be non-refundable.
I will keep you updated if my timing slips or some detail needs additional input.
I will email you again when the plush is finished with pictures for approval. If adjustments need to be made at this point I will work with you to try to get them done.
Once the plush is finished and approved, I will need a name and shipping address to send the plush to. The rest of the cost will be due at this point.
Once the rest of the payment is received, I will ship the plush and send you a tracking number.
