Egret had grown up in Bree, and never had she left. She knew nothing other than this settlement where Hobbits and Humans were able to get along and live beside one another. Her father owned a hardy tavern near Combe, where the price was right and the ale was good. Often times people of importance would enter the tavern doors and drink themselves to stupidity. That’s when Egret learned things, whether serious information she could sell ( Her father was in horrible debt ) or tales of grand adventures that made her wish she had one of her own.
It was an especially busy day at work, for the most part only men frequented her father’s tavern.Egret often times had to stand up for herself against sleazes. She may be a more crude sort of woman, but she knew the difference between welcomed jokes and harassment. She didn’t tolerate it, and so, the bearded man that was grabbing at her hem, trying to lift it, Egret promptly punched between the legs and threw him out. She was not a weak woman, and she knew how to take care of herself - As any woman who worked around drunkards should.
“Anyone else want t’ try me, I’ll do twice as badly t’ ya’ - Maybe I’ll rip your fun bits off with me own ‘ands, then ‘ang it as dec’ration on tha’ wall in ‘ere!” She said. She certainly didn’t speak like the docile lady most men were used to - Then again, most ladies didn’t grow up working for her father in a tavern.
As she spoke, she caught sight of a man with platinum blonde hair. He had an air about him that was different from all the other corrupted men in the room, and as she neared him, she noticed his pointed ears. “You’re an elf. There ain’t elves ‘ere very often - I’m Egret, what brings ya’ t’ a tavern ‘ere in Bree? Passin’ through, I guess - What for? Where ya’ goin’?”
Son;
Legolas furrowed his eyebrows with his mother words; there was wisedom in them, that was certain, but his mother was once in danger and he would not allow it to happen, ever again. Walking closer to her, the Elven Prince nodded, his sky clear blue eyes then meeting hers, and he sighed after.
“I meant only to protect you and our realm.” Legolas replied calmly, eyeing the floor now. Perhaps it was wrong for him to mention such words when the other side claimed no war, and empty threats were made al the time. “Forgive me.”
The Prince apologized to The Queen, not eyeing her from then on, waiting for a reply from his mother.
Sensing his good intentions,he was wise, though such powerful emotions could drive one to do unthinkable things, cloud the mind’s reasonable thoughts. Concerned for the heir to put himself in jeopardy, despite the fact he could conduct himself. A protecting mother she would be.
“ I know Ion-in,
I put my faith in you..
I only prefer to see you content.
Our kin will be unharmed.. ”
Caressing the his face, commanding his hues back to her own. To console,to encourage Legolas to stray from empty threats, rumors. Lainathel could not find strength to criticize, concealing her undying despair towards Orcs and the ever growing consuming, poisoning darkness.
“ You are always forgiven.”

Crouching down to the level her son stood,Lainathel assisted him in the fine arts of archery. Young and eager he was to grasp every aspect,to share hobbies with her heir was grand. Adjusting his stance before coaching him contently. Awaiting to see such progress.
“ Observe your target intently, hold your aim, then release when ready.”
“Anybody who’s foolish enough to threaten our family, vengeance will be mine!” - Mulan Sentence Starters @elfeyes

The remark weighed what it felt like daggers in her heart. Threats were mere word unless acted upon. Legolas was misguided, evidently his reasoning was clouded. To exhaust such vitality on dishonest fabrications would be naive.
“ You conclude a threat with another? The peril it could bring is undiscovered.”
Resting a tranquil hand upon the shoulder of her heir, uneased by the hidden enmity similar to those of the King’s,unsound. To soothe the nerves of Legolas, the Queen attempted to put the matter in perspective,to achieve a sense of pace she longed for.
“ If opposing side takes combat than we shall defend. Unless that is proven do not stress my son.”
