Here's a better look at my newest #upcycledponcho 💜 The #elfhood and body are lined with soft purple jersey, and not gonna lie, every time I put one of these on for a photo I never wanna take it off. 😊 It has a #cowlneck too! I attempted to do a clever pockets-on-pockets thing using the front of a shrunken cardigan, but the original #pockets wound up disappearing during the sewing journey. Sometimes the #sweaters have their own agenda! Oh well - there is still so much mystery and depth to savor in this one. Fandom confession:

I've never managed to get into LotR fanfiction because of what I call elf squick  -- "coming like the falls of Rauros under the starlight of Elbereth", "a single tear, bright like mithril under moonlight, trickled down her alabaster cheek as she gave up her maidenhead to the mortal Manhood of the Ranger she loved", "his elfhood sprang up like a young tree under the bright skies" and so on.

I realize that there must be tons and tons of fic out there that won't make me giggle like an idiot, but I always seem to run face first into the bad porn. Just lucky, I guess.

My hobby: taking iconic images and turning them into Tolkien illustrations. This one is particularly appropriate as it is based on a picture of Achilles and Patroclus, and we all know about THEM. (In conclusion: cousins.)
