Foley High School Theatre Presents Elf the Musical Jr.! Buddy the Elf made some rounds today promoting the show! We found out that he is not the best at answering phone calls (parents were complaining about his constant singing). Mrs. Webb had to remind him that you can’t put maple syrup in the projector in the library, and our cafeteria ladies just absolutely adore him (chocolate syrup, does in fact, go on spaghetti)! One thing is for sure: he is amazing at decorating Christmas trees! Come see all of his shenanigans on Friday, December 9! Foley Civic Center! Doors open at 5:30, and the show begins at 6:00! Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Elf Jr. is your opportunity to catch a photo with Santa!  For a $5 donation to the RuBarb School of Performing Arts, you can use your own camera or phone to catch a picture with the big guy!  Santa will be in the lobby before each show and during each intermission.  (Please note performers will have their own surprise opportunity to see Santa between the Saturday performances.)

In addition, the parent committee will be running a 50/50 raffle, and there will be cookies, candy bags (candy, candy canes, candy corns & syrup, of course), jewelry designed by Brett Mitchell, beanie boos, Elf Jr. buttons, Santa keys and other souvenirs available for purchase.

Unfortunately there is no ATM available at the Cultural Centre, so if you and your guests want to take part in all the fun, make sure you come prepared with cash!

Picture Rules Refresher

Now that the kids are into their costumes, please remember that all students and family members are asked to abide by the following rules regarding photos and videos:

No pictures in dressing rooms or backstage areas where people are changing.  With lots of mirrors in there, it is very easy to unintentionally catch someone changing in the background, and it is therefore prohibited under RuBarb's Child Safety Policy.  If you want to take photos, please do so in the hallway or the rehearsal room.

No photographs or audio or video recording of the show is permitted.  This is due to copyright law, and RuBarb could be held liable in any instances where this law is broken.

Elf Jr. Casting & First Read Through - This Saturday!!

Cast announcement and first read through for Elf Jr. will be Saturday, October 14 from 10am-1pm at RuBarb.  Parents are welcome to attend - it is particularly helpful for the younger cast members to have a parent present to assist with script highlighting.  Please bring your script, water bottle, shoes, pencil and highlighter.  See you there!
