As he walked into her room and went to her side she looked as though she was just sleeping. She was still alive, but barely, but unable to communicate to him. He held her and spoke to her telepathically. He knew she would be able to hear him, and he said his goodbyes.
ELIAS- “I know you are still here with me Laurel, and first I want to say thank you for everything, and for the two beautiful children you have given to me. I will cherish them and do the best that I can to raise them into strong, vibrant, successful adults. I know you wanted them more than anything, and you will be here with us in spirit and help me raise them. I am sorry how this has ended, and if I could, I would reverse it, but you know I can’t.”
With that, Laurel passed.
Eli was now left to raise Mila and Michael on his own.
