NOMMIN ISLE WAS FAIRLY INTERESTING, were one to look solely at the survival aspects and, frankly, nothing more. for kaeya, at least, when it came to a want for some sense of thrill intermingled with his relative acceptance of peace within spirale 一 rather, what little peace they were usually able to have. had it been any other isle he wound up on, there would have been no complaint, swift to take action and utilize the skills he's come to regain. and yet there was one thing becoming stranded here had given him was an unusual company, one by the name of kafka.
half-gloved fingers twirl a stick within his hand as he gleans over the temporary shelter they had constructed, something to keep the fickle weather at bay, were the skies to be unruly as both their temperaments could be. ❝ Not bad at all. It'll do, even if it hardly holds a candle to our usual housing back in the city, ❞ kaeya praises, seeming satisfied enough compared to the last time he'd been stranded with a familiar face back in mondstadt. their work hadn't been too time consuming, though something plays at the back of his mind, a spark of something more lit within his gaze...
❝ This island seems bearable enough to survive, at least, ❞ he muses aloud to his company, knuckle pressed to his lip as he now looks out toward the sea, contemplating something. ❝ Of course, if that isn't to your liking, I could always carefully craft a bridge to see if we can make somewhere else, if you're willing to take that risk. ❞ and whatever answer she offers would tell him a little more about her as a person, that was for sure.
