BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in the neighborhood of Holborn, Elise Wright is the middle of five children. Growing up, her father used to call her his ‘little bookworm’ considering she almost always had her head in a book, immersing herself in a completely different world. It was easier for her to do that than go into the playground with the other children. Sure, she had friends, but there was a shyness about the little girl that made her hide in the solace of her bedroom instead, though, when she was forced by her parents to socialise, she did have fun… she just had to take the step to overcome her own anxieties to fully open up to people who weren’t her family.
Excelling in her studies, she made her parents extremely proud when she graduated high school at the top of her class and got accepted into University of Oxford to study English Literature. She initially had the idea of working in education, but after gaining experience at her the university’s newspapers, she developed a passion for Journalism. It was a surprise to her, but she was a total natural at not only writing, but she had a wonderful screen presence, which sparked the possibility of news reporting into her mind.
One of Elise’s professors had recommended her for an internship at BBC News, he had connections there and had great faith that she would be absolutely perfect for them. After several interviews, she secured the job, and over a few years, she worked her way up the network’s ladder, all while doing a Journalism course on the side. Of course, it took a long time to get where she is today, but it was all one hundred percent worth it. She’s currently the main newsreader for BBC’s evening news, and has been regarded as one of the best in the country.
Along the way, Elise met the man who would eventually be her husband. She fell madly in love with him, and less than a year later, they tied the knot at a lavish ceremony. Their marriage was strong for ten years before they split. He was unfaithful to her, even having a fling with one of her best friends. It broke her heart, causing her to have reservations about any future relationships. She has since healed from it all, but there is still a part of her that feels resentment towards her ex.
Personality wise, Elise is incredibly kind-hearted, she was a gentle nature with everyone, which is a reason she wins so many people over. She can still be rather reserved with new people, but she has come out of her shell a bit since she was a small child. Despite her intelligence, she can be rather scatterbrained and finicky at times… her obsessive compulsive disorder and anxiety is often the cause of that.
