It may seem few and far between when I release new music and publicize my releases. However, if you pay attention to my release history, I follow a pattern and drop a 21 track rap album every two years. This summer marks the release of my long anticipated "Propaganda Recall" junior independent album release. I pray that this is the biggest release of my career thus far, and I pray for the ambition to finish all the steps associated with it's release this summer. Frivolous things don't excite me, but the little things do. It's the subtle nuances in design and space that make the statement. Thelonious Monk suggested that sometimes it's what we don't say or play during a performance that makes the show. Design is the universal science of beauty. When I design my music and beats, I exercise the similar principles of fine art and design. Creating "space" and separation between sounds to influence a feeling (or vibes) in the listener is my latest focus when creating sonic masterpieces. Composition and arrangement are solid when applied traditionally, so I focus more on putting the listener in a space, emotion, or frame of mind. Music and Sonic Art is different than visual learning and perceiving. Sonic stimuli literally have much more intense, apparent effects on our brain and soul than any other sense. Furthermore what makes any song sound good are the dynamics and design of the sound. Aside from tempo, tune, melody, and harmony, good music is made of good sound design. How many instruments, where are they in the headphones, reverberation awareness, intentional disruptions, and cohesive blending are all advanced aspects of producing and mixing music. This music shit is deeper than it seems. #Elitenment
As the sun sets, I am grateful for longevity. For continued resilience and perseverance. I am utterly shocked at the amount of years-of-focus the human mind can apply to particular areas of passion. I bow to God and his creation. And I ultimately kick back, relax, and look forward to watching this part of life unfold as I harvest the fruit of my charity. #Elitenment
